There is another “Joy” who has been a big part of my life – my Aunt Joy (Blankenship), Granny Grace’s daughter. Just like my mom, this Joy brings joy to people! If you know her, you know that she has a servant’s heart and loves to give.

At the last family reunion I attended, I happened to be sitting next to her when I took a bite of the most delicious jalapeno. The jalapeño was crisp and with the filling, it was so refreshing! I told my aunt that I had to find out who made them, which turned out to be pretty easy since it was her. Since that time, she has given me the recipe, and I made them last week. Mine were not as good as hers, but they were pretty good.
Ingredients:

15 Jalapeno Peppers
8 oz. Cream Cheese
1 Jar Dried Beef (2.5 oz.), Chopped fine
6 Green Onions, Chopped fine
1/2 t. Accent Seasoning
1 t. Worcestershire Sauce
Directions:

This is a very simple recipe:
1. Cut the peppers in half, long ways, and remove the seeds and veins. Use gloves to protect your hands,
face, and eyes.
2. Mix the other ingredients together well.
3. Fill the peppers with the cream cheese mixture and serve!
I cannot promise how mild or spicy these will be. I bought all of the peppers at the same time, from the same bin. I ended up with some that were very mild, and others were so hot I could not eat them. If you happen to know the secret for picking out mild or spicy peppers, please share.
Enjoy!
Have a Grace & Joy-filled day!
