While we waited for my mom to come out of her surgery a couple of weeks ago, my sister and I needed to charge our phones. We weren’t near a plug, and my portable charger is NEVER charged. Kristie pulled out her portable solar charger. She leaves it on the dash of her car most of the time, so it stays charged without her having to really think about it. It is also a flashlight! This solar charger just went on sale this week!

Here are a few applications from Deuteronomy this week:

• Deut. 22:1 Don’t pretend that you don’t see the needs around you. Do the right thing and help when you can.
• Deut. 23:5 How many times have we brought curses upon ourselves that we never even knew about, because the Lord turned our curse into a blessing?
• Deut. 25:4 The Lord cares about the animals and wants us to take care of them.
