Make the Best of Every Situation

Saturday Morning Devotional

Make the Best of Every Situation

The picture above was the actual weather one day this summer while we were at the beach! It was not so extreme that it was a dangerous storm, but it was definitely enough to keep us away from the beach for the majority of the day. It was not what we wanted or planned, but we would have to make the best of the situation!

The townhome was very nice, but after a while, there was a bit of stir-crazy happening. We decided we would make the best of the situation and go bowling. We ended up having a great time.

When we left the bowling alley that afternoon, the rain had stopped, and the sun was shining. We had such a good time bowling, and we were still able to make it to the beach for a little bit.

The Lord gives us many opportunities every day. I wonder how many times we miss them while we try to make our own plans work. Many times it is the alternate plans that give us a great blessing. Don’t miss them!

Scriptures

“… make the most of every opportunity.” Colossians 4:5

.

Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” Proverbs 19:21

Quote of the Week

I hope you enjoyed the devotional. Please share a time you were disappointed, but you were able to make the best of the situation.

For a similar devotional, Read “Seize the Day,” written by Jay earlier this summer. Also, you must read Coco’s attitude (at The Crowned Goat) when things do not go as planned for her. It is a great example for us to follow.

Have a Grace & Joy-filled day!
