Weekly Life Applications From Job
Weekly Life Applications From Job
I finally started the last book in Caddie’s Bible. I always save Job for last. For whatever reason, it is harder for me to read than the others. However, the Lord still shows up and speaks through His Word. Here are a few weekly life applications from Job.
- Job 1:10 We need to pray for a hedge of protection to be around our families and everything we own. Satan could see the hedge around Job and was bound by it. He knows his limits and will try to push them, but the Lord sets the boundaries.
- Job 2:13 Sometimes it is best just to show up and be with hurting friends. You don’t have to say anything or offer advice, just listen.
- Job 4:8 Be careful using these phrases:
- “In my experience…”
- This says it is more than likely an opinion based on experience, not truth.
- “However, if I were you…”
- Until you are in an exact situation, you can’t really say what you would or wouldn’t do.
- “In my experience…”
If you have just joined me recently and are not sure what I am talking about with Caddie’s Bible, these are examples of some of the comments I write in the Bibles I am giving to my grandchildren when they graduate. Click here to see the post where I explain this eternal gift idea.
I hope you enjoyed these life applications. Please share any thoughts or insights the Lord has put on your heart this week.
Have a Grace & Joy-filled day!
