Weekly Life Applications from the Bible

Weekly Life Applications from the Bible

Here are a few weekly life applications I received from last week’s Bible reading:

  • Matt 5:47 – Loving our enemies is not normal. Don’t be normal, be extraordinary!
  • Matt. 6:12 – In the Lord’s Prayer, we ask the Lord to forgive us AS (like) we have forgiven people who have wronged us. Before we pray this, we need to examine how we have forgiven them. Is that really how we want to be forgiven?
  • Matt. 6:16 – If you are fasting (or even doing good deeds) for earthly attention, the attention is your reward. Do you want earthly attention or Heavenly attention – earthly rewards or Heavenly rewards?
  • Matt. 6:27, 34 – Worrying doesn’t fix the future; it only ruins the present.

If you have just joined me recently, these are examples of some of the comments I write in the Bibles I am giving to my grandchildren when they graduate. Click here to see the post where I explain this eternal gift idea.

I hope you enjoyed these life applications. Please share any thoughts or insights the Lord has put on your heart this week.

Have a Grace & Joy-filled day!

Susan
