Weekly Life Applications from the Bible

.

Here are a few weekly life applications from the Bible I received from my quiet time reading in Matthew last week:

  • Matt 24:45 – He gave them details about what was going to happen so they would know what to expect. This was also meant to keep them from being deceived by false prophets. He has also given us details about what to expect. We need to study His Word, be alert, and remember His teachings so that we will not be deceived.
  • Matt. 25:13 – If we knew exactly when He was coming, we would probably have more of an urgency about us and act a little differently. We need to act as if he is coming today!
  • Matt. 25:25 – Fear caused the servant to do nothing, and he lost everything. Don’t let fear keep you from prospering.

If you have just joined me recently, these weekly life applications from the Bible are examples of some of the comments I write in the Bibles I am giving to my grandchildren when they graduate. Click here to see the post where I explain this eternal gift idea.

If you are new to spending time in the Word, there are many resources to help you. Feel free to reach out to me. I will try to help you in any way I can. A great source to start with is the You Version Bible App. You can read the Bible, devotionals, or get the verse of the day on your phone or computer. Click the link here to go to the website.

.

I hope you found something in these life applications you can use. Please share any thoughts or insights the Lord has put on your heart this week. It is so encouraging to hear how the Lord speaks to people!

.

Have a Grace & Joy-filled day!

I always take notes from this series Susan! I definitely need to go back and make sure I’ve highlight Matt 25:25 on fear. Anyalysis paralysis is so tough sometimes. Thanks again for all you do to lift us up and keep our eyes on Him, CoCo

Hello!

Hello!

Welcome! I believe homes and families should be filled with grace and joy! As I think about my life, I can see how my grandmother and my mom poured these beliefs into our home. How fitting that my grandmother's name was Grace and my mother's name is Joy. I hope to share the impact "Grace and Joy" have made on my life and in my home!

I wrote this back in 2006, but the household tips, recipes, and organizational strategies are still relevant as they are filtered through the lens of Scripture.
