Life Applications from the Bible – Vol. 25

Life Applications from the Bible – Vol. 25

These are some of the life applications from the Bible from last week:

  • Luke 8:27, 29 – The Lord doesn’t want you to live in the “tombs or deserted places.” He wants you to have life more abundant! Live life to the fullest!

“The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance.” John 10:10

  • Luke 8:41-47 – Jarius’ daughter & the woman with the issue of blood
    • The desperate times in our lives have a way of giving us boldness.
      • Jarius wasn’t worried about what the other religious leaders thought at that time.
      • The lady wasn’t worried about being “unclean” in a crowd of people.
      • When your “Why” is big enough, you don’t care what other people think. This results in boldness!
    • The desperate times in our lives have a way of drawing us closer to the Lord.

  • Luke 9:46 – They were becoming the disciples who would spread the Gospel around the world. However, they were still learning, growing, and maturing into those Christian men. We are the same. We all have some immature ways in us – we need to keep growing spiritually to become who He wants us to be. Never stop growing spiritually.

  • Luke 10:40 – Don’t let your To Do list take priority over your time with the Lord. Put Him at the top of your list – Top Priority!

  1. I am so glad I stopped here today. “The desperate times in our lives have a way of drawing us closer to the Lord.” They sure do and it is the most safe and precious place to be!

  2. Fridays are my favorite days! A few weeks ago I had a prayer answered that I had been praying about for 2 years and this morning I was working on the project wondering how it was going to work out because it feels too big to manage alone and there are a lot more decisions that have to be made than I was anticipating. I need to troubleshoot the details but have been afraid to bring it up because I know this is the right course of action but I’m not sure everyone else will feel that way. Thank you for reminding me that “When your “Why” is big enough, you don’t care what other people think.” I definitely needed to hear this today. Sending you hugs and thank yous for our Friday morning Bible sessions. They help so much! Hugs, CoCo

  3. All very good applications. I do like that first one – that God doesn’t want us to settle for the deserted places. He had so much better for that man and he has so much better for each of us! Visiting today from Sweet Tea & Friends

  4. I love this quote! “When your “Why” is big enough, you don’t care what other people think. This results in boldness!” It’s true, in other areas of our lives, but especially in our relationship with Jesus.

This is my first visit to your site. Personally, I love that you give Bibles to each of your grandchildren. I’m glad I came across your blog through the Grace and Truth link up.

    1. Thank you so much! Working on the Bibles for my granddaughters is really a great experience. I’m now on the third one. She’s only five, but it has been interesting to see how the Lord puts things on my mind that fit their own personalities.

Thank you for stopping by! I really enjoy the Grace & Truth link parties. There are such great thoughts and ideas!
