Life Applications and Lessons from the Book of Galatians – Part 1
(Vol. 95 )
The Lord has given us many life applications and lessons from the book of Galatians. Let’s take a look at a few of them.

I don’t know why I am amazed each week as the Lord speaks to us through His Word. It is so wonderful to see how He shows us how to apply His Word to our lives. Let’s take a look at Galatians now.
Life Applications and Lessons
Galatians 1:15
“But when God, who from my birth set me apart and called me by His grace, was pleased…” Galatians 1:15
We all have a God-ordained purpose that was given to us before we were ever born. This is encouraging and convicting all at the same time.

Galatians 1:16
“to reveal His Son in me, so that I could preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with anyone.” Galatians 1:16
- Preaching Christ to the Gentiles was what he was set apart to do.
- He didn’t get a call from God and then go get men’s thoughts and opinions. He only wanted to hear from the Lord.
- At times we need Godly counsel in our decision making. At other times, we need to get alone with the Lord and listen to Him.
- If the Lord is clear about a direction in our life, we don’t need man’s spin on it.

Galatians 3:3
“Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now going to be made complete by the flesh?” Galatians 3:3
- Don’t fall into that trap! Don’t forget that it was grace that saved you, not works of the flesh.
- When we have a “flesh” mindset, it is as if we are saying that we could do it (earn eternal life) on our own – not needing Christ. That is just about as far from the truth as you can get.
Galatians 4:9
“But now, since you know God, or rather have become known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and bankrupt elemental forces? Do you want to be enslaved to them all over again?” Galatians 4:9
Once you have the best, it is hard to go back, but a lot of times we try. Live in the fullness of grace, and let your works be the evidence and overflow of your salvation.
Galatians 5:7-8
“You were running well. Who prevented you from obeying the truth? This persuasion did not come from the One who called you.” Galatians 5:7-8
- It only takes a small twisted thought or idea to get you off track in your beliefs.
- Think about hanging a picture. If the level is off by just a degree, it will not end up straight.
- Compare everything to the Bible instead of what people or society say.

“From one Man He has made every nationality to live over the whole earth and has determined their appointed times and the boundaries of where they live.” Acts 17:26

“live in the fullness of grace” gah SO GOOD Susan, I’m writing that down right now! Galatians is one of my favorite books so I’m super excited to dive in with you. Learning discernment has been one of the hardest lessons for me to grasp because it’s really easy to get off track and distracted! Big hugs, CoCo
