SAVE THE DATE!
If you are local to the Caddo Mills area, I would love to see you on December 6th at the Caddo Mills High School. We are planning to be at their Christmas shopping expo again this year. I loved participating last year!
What’s Been Happening
This weekend was a time of birthday celebrations. We got to celebrate our daughter-in-law’s birthday as well as one of our granddaughter’s. Happy Birthday Kristy and Cadlyn!
A September Plan
I am hoping you will join me in what I am calling the “Eat at Home Challenge” for September. Here lately I have not stuck to my menu plan that well, which leads to scrambling to find something to cook and eating out more than we would like.
I am putting together a plan to go along with the monthly menu next month. I am trying to include some options for game nights and other activities that come along each week.
Let me know if you are interested in joining the challenge with me. Maybe we can hold each other accountable and still give ourselves grace.
We will be gone to the beach one week in September, but I am still planning to do a few homemade meals while we are there.

Household Tip
I have to share something I just discovered!
Jay and I both wear glasses, and keeping them clean is such a hassle. The last time he went to the eye doctor, they told him to use Dawn dishwashing liquid to clean his glasses. We have been doing that, and it works better than most things. However, lately my glasses have had a film on them.
I saw a post from Kate at Southern Home and Hospitality about making your own Dawn PowerWash. It is basically the same thing but with rubbing alcohol added. I tried the store-bought version this morning, and my glasses were very clear!
I highly recommend this! Before I run out of the store bought version, I am going to try making my own. I will let you know how it works.
