This week we took a late summer vacation. After being tied to a school schedule for 53 years (in school and then education), we thought September might be a great time for the beach. The weather is very pleasant, and the crowds are few.

I will report back next week. We are praying the seaweed dies down tomorrow.

A September Plan

I hope you are joining me for the “Eat at Home Challenge” for September. Two things I have noticed already:

• I am not sure after all about the commitment while I am on vacation! I may have to pick it back up when we return home.
• After the 1st week, I can tell you that it is important to have a few “Grab & Go” meals handy for nights that you will not be home. Here are a few ideas:
  • Packaged Salads
  • Frozen Meals
  • Pre-Packaged Meals from the Deli/Costco
  • Sandwiches

We survived the volleyball game nights, but it would have been easier, and we would have eaten earlier if I had planned a little better.

A New Meal Planning Tool

I have been working on a few things to make meal planning easier. Here are a few simple meal planning charts. I added a variety, because I know not everyone likes the same format.

If you already receive my emails, you can still receive the charts. Just go ahead and request them.

I am also working on a list of 120 meal ideas to make deciding on meals a little easier also. That should be coming soon.

We will be in Florida this week, so I hope to hear from the Lord on the beach! I think I hear Him better at the beach because I am still and listening.

12/6/2025 – We will be at the Christmas Vendors’ Fair again this year.

Opinions please!

1. Last year at this vendors’ fair, I gave out samples of peanut butter fudge – it was a big hit. Should I do the same thing or change it up a little? If so, what are your ideas?
2. I also did a drawing for a Bible gift basket. Please give me your thoughts and ideas on a prize for the drawing this year.
