Apron Strings & Blessings Weekly Newsletter Vol. 10

Thanks for joining me for this week’s, “Apron Strings & Blessings.” Let’s take a look at all things faith, family, and home!

I hope you had a great week and weekend! Mine was busy but great.

We went to the State Fair of Texas last week to watch the girls show their chickens and had a blast. They did very well this year!

Saturday’s Post – Lessons from “The Little Red Hen”

This is an older post that needed lots of updating. It was really a fun post, because I was able to use a few real chicken pictures – thanks to my daughter and granddaughter!

Five adult hens of various colors and two yellow chicks eat feed from the ground in a coop. The text reads: "Lessons from The Little Red Hen" and "www.homewithgraceandjoy.com".

This Month’s Scripture

A wheat field with "Harvest Time," a Bible verse from John 4:35 urging us to look at the fields ready for harvest, and a touch of Apron Strings charm. Website: www.homewithgraceandjoy.com at the bottom.

“Don’t you say, ‘There are still four more months, and then comes the harvest?’ Listen to what I’m telling you: Open your eyes and look at the fields, because they are ready for harvest.” John 4:35

A Message from My Quiet Time

I am reading the book of Numbers, so there aren’t as many nuggets as in some of the other books, but they are still there.

“Tell the Israelites: When a man or woman commits any sin against another, that person acts unfaithfully toward the Lord and is guilty.” Numbers 5:6

It is so easy to think of our sins against others as just that – “against others.” When you think about them being against the Lord, it makes you think twice.

Wednesday’s Post – The Easiest and So Delicious Artisan Bread Recipe

A round loaf of artisan bread with a crisp, golden crust sits on a wooden cutting board next to a beige cloth. Text reads “Easy Bread Recipe & Delicious Artisan Bread” and "www.homewithgraceandjoy.com".

October’s Monthly Menu

Quick and Easy Meal Ideas for October

Having a plan for meals is the first step in staying on track. You can use whatever works best for you, but here is a guide if you want some additional ideas.

A collage from Apron Strings shows an "Easy Monthly Menu for October" featuring spaghetti with shrimp, roasted chicken, a stew over rice, vibrant vegetables with yellow rice, and a simmering pot of soup on the stove.

Meal Planning Tools

I have been working on a few things to make meal planning easier. Here are a few simple meal planning charts. I added a variety, because I know not everyone likes the same format.

I am also working on a list of 120 meal ideas to make deciding on meals a little easier also. That should be coming soon.

Sales of the Week

Amazon and Walmart are both having their BIG sales this week! 🎉

I will send out an email Tuesday with some of the deals. Don’t forget about your everyday items.

In the meantime, these are great! Have you heard of Miss Mouth’s Messy Eater Stain Treater? My mom just got it, and it is amazing!

A white spray bottle labeled "Miss Mouth's Messy Eater Stain Treater" with colorful cartoon food stains, a blue cloud stating "works like magic," and a note it's a safer stain remover for families—perfect to grab during Amazon Prime Days.

These are so super easy! Thank you Rhonda for sharing this with me so many years ago.

A plate of chocolate peanut clusters sits on a white surface. Beside it, an Apron Strings recipe card details ingredients and directions for making the clusters, featuring chocolate chips and peanuts.

You can also find the recipe along with two others that were passed down to me at the link here.
