Apron Strings & Blessings Weekly Newsletter Vol. 12
Thanks for joining me for this week’s, “Apron Strings & Blessings.” Let’s take a look at all things faith, family, and home!

Happy Monday!
It was almost sweater weather here in Texas yesterday!!! I actually did wear a new little cardigan to church that I have been waiting to try out – pink of course!
We actually got some rain over the weekend also! I hope you are enjoying the weather as much as I am. I love fall!!!
Do you like mums in the fall? I have to share what I found at Costco Saturday! I always get their mums for the yard, because they are so big and beautiful. The question is always, “Which color?”
This year, there was no question about it. They had pots of variety – all three colors together.

If you are looking for mums, take a look at Costco. They are huge and under $20!
Click the down arrow in the table of contents to click on a topic. It will automatically scroll down to that section.
Faith
Saturday’s Post – Faith or Fear: Lessons in Numbers 13
This one was for me?

This Month’s Scripture

“Don’t you say, ‘There are still four more months, and then comes the harvest?’ Listen to what I’m telling you: Open your eyes and look at the fields, because they are ready for harvest.” John 4:35
A Message from My Quiet Time
If you get a chance, read Numbers chapter 22 – chapter 24. I saw something I have never seen before.
Balaam didn’t handle everything as perfectly as Christ, but he did pretty well in the end.
Balaam’s temptations were very similar to Jesus’ temptations. They were both:
- Tempted three times.
- Moved to a new location each time. Have you noticed that the enemy doesn’t give up if you don’t give into temptation? He just changes his tactics.
- Offered earthly rewards.
- In communication with the Lord through the temptiation.
My biggest takeaway was:

Home & Family
Household Tip
I always struggle to open new bottles of vitamins. It is so difficult to peel the protective layer off of the top of the jar.
I just happened to see Jay open one recently, and I thought he was pretty brilliant.

It is hard to see in the picture, but he opened a kitchen drawer and used the corner to break the seal. After that, it was so easy to peel the protective layer off of the container.
I have been doing this ever sense!

“How sweet Your Word is to my taste – sweeter than honey in my mouth.”
Psalm 119:103

It’s always fun to see what you’ve been up to each week, Susan. I’m going to pass along your vitamin trick to my parents. I’m pretty sure it’s much better than the knife trick they’ve been using to pierce the safety seal tab. Love the mums you found too. They’re gorgeous! Hugs, CoCo
Thanks! I was surprised to see him open them like that. It is so much easier.
