#1 Song – Gratitude by Brandon Lake

“Gratitude” by Brandon Lake

I am very familiar with the chorus of this song, but look at the first lyrics! This is so true – there is no real way to ever express how grateful we are or should be.

Song Lyrics

All my words fall short
I got nothing new
How could I express
All my gratitude?

I could sing these songs
As I often do
But every song must end
And You never do

Song Lyrics

I love Your voice
You have led me through the fire
In darkest night You are close like no other

I’ve known You as a Friend

And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God

This is one of those songs that I have only “heard from a distance.” In other words, I have never paid attention to what it was saying. It is absolutely beautiful!

Song Lyrics

While the world looks upon me
As I struggle along
They say I have nothing
But they are so wrong

How I wish they could see

#6 Song – Counting Every Blessing by Rend Collective

“Counting Every Blessing” by Rend Collective

If it weren’t for copyright laws, I would have shared all of the lyrics. When you listen to them, look at how they have woven the 23rd Psalm into the lyrics. I have never noticed it until now.

Song Lyrics

You were there in the valley of shadows
You were there in the depth of my sorrows
You’re my strength, my hope for tomorrow
I’ve been blessed beyond all measure

I am counting every blessing, counting every blessing
Letting go and trusting when I cannot see
I am counting every blessing, counting every blessing
Surely every season You are good to me

#7 Song – Gratitude by Nichole Nordeman

“Gratitude” by Nichole Nordeman

This is an older song that I either did not know about or forgot. I can’t imagine I would have forgotten about this one. It is beautiful, and I have always loved Nichole Nordeman.

Song Lyrics

Send some rain, would You send some rain?
‘Cause the earth is dry and needs to drink again
And the sun is high and we are sinking in the shade
Would You send a cloud, thunder long and loud?
Let the sky grow black and send some mercy down
Surely You can see that we are thirsty and afraid
But maybe not, not today
Maybe You’ll provide in other ways
And if that’s the case …

We’ll give thanks to You with gratitude
For lessons learned in how to thirst for You
How to bless the very sun that warms our face
If You never send us rain

To God be the glory
For the things He has done

We have stacks and stacks of Christian music CDs. Most of these are from the 90s and 2000s. I love these old songs, but I rarely listened to them – until now.

A white portable turntable with a lid open, set on a brown countertop, echoes the melodies of cherished Christian songs. A remote control with various buttons lies in front of it. The background features wooden cabinets with brass handles, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

I bought this CD player for my she shed and pulled out the old CDs! It looks like a mini record player. I basically wanted it because it was cute, but I am getting to listen to some really good music!

If you are in the same boat and need a cute CD player, check this one out.
