Happy Monday!

I hope you had a great weekend. In the midst of trying to comfort Ally during a weekend of fireworks, I started putting up the Christmas decorations. It is still a work in progress!

How about you? Is yours up, or is it too early?

Saturday’s Post – What is on the Inside?

A white coffee cup with a saucer and wrapped chocolate rests on a wooden table. Artistic swirls, coffee bean illustrations, and the phrase "what is on the inside?" invite curiosity. Website link appears at the bottom of the image.

November’s Scripture

Thanksgiving-themed image with a quote: "Letโ€™s enter His presence with thanksgiving; letโ€™s shout triumphantly to Him in song." Psalm 95:2. Below the text, decorative pumpkins and leaves evoke the essence of Christian songs celebrating gratitude.

A Message from the Weekend

Wow – this weekend! You may not fully know fear until you see it in a dog’s eyes on a weekend of fireworks! We are still recovering.

Ally is scared of so many things, and loud booms are at the top of the list. Our local fireworks store had a weekend Pyrofest, and it was complete torture for Ally.

She wouldn’t leave our sides unless she was hiding in a closet or bathroom. She was trembling so hard that it scared me. We ended up having to medicate her both days.

She never could understand that there was no real danger and that we were taking care of her.

Isn’t that like us and our fears? Whatever scary thing you are going through, give it to God. Let Him take it and protect you.

โ€œDo not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with My righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

Amazon

Walmart

  • If you have been trying to get one of these Christmas trees, they are back in stock! They look and feel real, and they have the neatest twinkles.
  • These Christmas Tree Cake candles are also back this year and for the original price! After they sold out last year, you could find a few, but the price was outrageous!

Candy Recipe for the Month – Homemade Reese’s Peanut Butter Bars

We love these! They have been a favorite for years!

Christmas Planner

A glittery gold star ornament hangs on a garland of pine branches with white lights. Text below reads, "The Home with Grace and Joy Christmas Planner" by Susan Sikes at Apron Strings, with a website link.

I have been working on a Christmas planner to help with the overwhelm and chaos. I never want another Christmas planned out like 2023! That was the year of DISorganization and chaos!

This 44 page planner comes with checklists, resource pages, and places for your notes. I have already started using mine! In fact, I copied some of the pages for Thanksgiving planning.

I have two options:

1st is a free 1 page checklist – you can find it here.

The 2nd option is the full planner. You can see it here.

I hope this helps someone. I cannot have another 2023 Christmas experience!

Wal-mart Sales

I had to share another huge benefit to Walmart+ – it is one of my favorite benefits!

Two people exchange a white plastic shopping bag outdoorsโ€”one hand passes the bag, another grabs it. Apron strings peek out beneath one personโ€™s shirt, with flower pots and a brick wall in the background.

Remember the pajamas that were too short for me. They came and got them!

Not only do they deliver my groceries, but they pick up most returns. You never have to go to the store!

Be watching for Wal-mart sales this month. they have a few special deals coming soon:

  • Early Black Friday Sales – November 14-16 (This was this weekend, but you can still find a few deals right now!)
  • Black Friday Sales – November 25-30
  • Cyber Monday – December 1st

If you do not have a Walmart+ account, you might want to test it out during the sales. The first time we tried it, we joined in November and cancelled it in January. It was great for Christmas planning and shopping.

The next year we joined again, but we loved it so much that we are still a part of it. Between Walmart+ and Amazon’s free delivery, I rarely have to go to the store for groceries or gifts!

Tip: You can start “Lists” in the Walmart app like you do for Amazon. Another way to watch for items to go on sale is to:

  • Find items you are wanting to purchase
  • Add them to your cart
  • Immediately click “Save for Later”

Every time you go to the app, your “Save for Later” items are at the bottom of your cart. You can watch for sales and add them back to your cart without having to search for them.

YouTube

I have started to post a video clips on YouTube. You can follow me here. For now, all of the clips are nature or animal (which is nature) ๐Ÿ™‚ based with a scripture to go along with it. Here are a few examples:

  1. I feel so bad for Ally, Susan. As you know our Piper has a severe anxiety disorder so we have to either medicate her or leave town during big holidays like 4th of July and NYE. It can definitely be exhausting so I hope you guys gave yourself lots of TLC too. Wishing you a blessed Thanksgiving week. I can’t wait to see your tree. Hugs, CoCo
