Apron Strings & Blessings Weekly Newsletter Vol. 35
Thanks for joining me for this week’s, “Apron Strings & Blessings.” Let’s take a look at a few things faith, family, and home!

Happy Monday!
I hope your weekend was a good one.
Here are a few things happening in my world:
- I am loving Estate Sale Season! There have been some pretty good ones lately. I didn’t get to make it to the big one this weekend though. 🙁
- We went to see Jay’s mom this weekend and saw the cutest thing for people in a care facility! You can see it below in the “Favorite Things from the Web” section.
- My dishwasher went out on me! It was only about 5 years old, so it was very disappointing until the repair guy told us that the brand we had usually only lasted 12 – 18 months! Needless to say, the one being delivered this week is not the same brand.
- We are preparing for Easter this week:
- Reading the Holy Week events in the Bible
- Preparing for Easter lunch with the family
- Getting ready for church
Whatever you have going this week, I pray you have a great one. Let me know if I can pray for you specifically in any way.

Easter Menu Ideas
I don’t know about you, but our holiday menus don’t change very much from year to year. We know what we like.
This is an older post with Easter menu ideas, but I added quite a few new ideas and recipe links to it.

Favorite Things on the Web This Week
The first links come with an explanation. We were visiting Jay’s mom who is in a nursing home, and I kept hearing a cat meowing. One of the residents stopped by to greet us, and she had an animated cat.
At first glance, the cat looked real. She let us know that it was not real, just realistic. We noticed that everyone around knew that she carried that little cat around with her most of the time.
Jay’s mother fell in love with it, so look what we found on Amazon! Once you open the link, you will see lots of other options.
- Animated Dogs – It has a heartbeat and “breathes!”
- Animated Cats

- I saved this post from Christmas, but it could be applied to Easter or just time in general. See “How to Brighten the Holidays for Loved Ones in Care Facilities.”
- If you have little ones and are looking for Easter activities, Our Grand Lives has some great ideas! You can see them here – Walking into Holy Week with our Littles!
- I am trying this Reese’s Peanut Butter Pie from Rose Bakes this week. It looks delicious!
- Have you tried Dill Pickle Dip? I love the one Costco used to have, but this is an easy homemade version.
The Top Links People Ask For

I feel like I share these links all of the time. However, when people have asked me for them, I have had a hard time finding them in a post or newsletter.
- She Reads Bible (This is the one I get the most questions about.)
- Travel Outfit
- Gravity Induced Cup Warmer – I found a new use for this! My stove top percolator fits perfectly on this. It helps keep the coffee warm after it has percolated.

“How sweet Your Word is to my taste – sweeter than honey in my mouth.”
Psalm 119:103

I love these posts, Susan. It’s always fun to see what you’ve been up to from week to week. My Mom volunteers at an ALF, and one of her ladies is nonverbal and would lose it in the best possible way over the little cat. So, I’m excited to send this to her. She will be tickled pink. I love that your holiday menu doesn’t change from year to year. There’s definitely something about not reinventing the wheel every holiday that makes my heart sing. Can’t wait to dive into these links. Sending you hugs for a blessed Holy Week, CoCo
