Apron Strings & Blessings Weekly Newsletter Vol. 36

Thanks for joining me for this week’s, “Apron Strings & Blessings.” Let’s take a look at a few things faith, family, and home!

Happy Monday!

I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend! We had a great church service and then a wonderful time with family.

This year was a little different, because there were no children. I was prepared with lots of eggs and candy, so we improvised and changed it to an adult Easter egg hunt.

Of course we still had the cascarones which is always a great laugh.

In addition to all of the regular eggs I have collected over the years, I bought four large golden eggs, but I didn’t have a plan for them. We made one of them the grand prize and took up a small collection of money from everyone.

A close-up of colorful plastic Easter eggs, including shiny gold eggs, patterned eggs, and solid-colored ones in pink, blue, yellow, purple, and more—all piled together like treasures gathered at the edge of apron strings.

This was a ton of fun! We will definitely have an adult Easter egg hunt next year. There will still be candy, but I plan on watching for small adult type prizes that are still good for teenagers as well. More details to come later.

Have a blessed week, and don’t forget to let me know if I can pray for you specifically in any way.

I feel like I share these links all of the time. However, when people have asked me for them, I have had a hard time finding them in a post or newsletter.

  1. I love that you guys had such a special celebration, Susan. We still have littles, but several years ago we had a grandparents’ egg hunt, and it was so much fun. Shopping during the year for little gifts to include in eggs is a fantastic idea. As the littles get older, we need to do that too. Can’t wait to hear all your ideas. Big hugs, CoCo

    1. I am going to get my sister on this also. I think this will be a fun new tradition.
