Apron Strings & Blessings Weekly Newsletter Vol. 39

Thanks for joining me for this week’s, “Apron Strings & Blessings.” Let’s take a look at a few things faith, family, and home!

A banner featuring "Apron Strings & Blessings - Tying Faith, Family, and Home Together One Blessing at a Time" with a circular "Home with Grace and Joy" logo. Celebrate the strength of apron strings at www.homewithgraceandjoy.com.

It has been a pretty busy and eventful few days around here. As many of you know, my aunt passed away and we had her celebration of life last Thursday. She would have been pleased to have seen the family all together.

I feel like she set such a great example of giving. If you read the post I put out right before she passed away, you know she found Joy in giving – it was her gift! I want to be more like her in this area!

We also got to spend some time with Jay’s family.

Six smiling people sit in a row at a baseball stadium, sporting team shirts and caps—one proudly displaying "Apron Strings"—with empty seats surrounding them and the stadium roof visible in the background.

The Ranger game didn’t go so well for us, but the company was great! You can definitely tell the brothers, and their sister in the middle favors them as well.

I hope this week is filled with many blessings for you. Be sure to let me know if you have specific prayer needs.

Saturday’s Post – Messages of Peace and Hope from “Sweet Hour of Prayer”

I have a side note about this song. I chose this song for my aunt’s funeral specifically for the last verse. Wouldn’t you know it – the funeral home chose a different version of the song, and it did NOT have the last verse!

I was very disappointed, but that just makes me want to share the song and the meaning in this post a little more. I want everyone to hear the encouragement in this song.

A church bulletin for Mt. Zion Fellowship Church lies on a checkered fabric background, with text above it reading "Sweet Hour of Prayer: Finding peace and hope in the hymn.

April’s Scripture

Text on a rain-soaked window reads: "Showers of Blessings: 'May He come down like rain upon the mown grass, like showers that water the earth.' Psalm 72:6." Experience grace and joy at www.homewithgraceandjoy.com.

A New Recipe to Share – Reese’s Peanut Butter Pie

I have had this recipe saved in my Safari for several months. I finally made it for Jay’s birthday, and it is delicious!

A slice of creamy pie topped with chocolate chunks and mini marshmallows sits on a white plate with a blue floral design, placed on a brown and white checkered fabric—perfectly capturing the cozy charm of Apron Strings.

This is a cream cheese based peanut butter and chocolate pie that is delicious! Get the recipe here! This is on the website Rose Bakes. She always shares great recipes.

On a side note, I bought a graham cracker crust instead of making one. I am sure a homemade crust is better, but I didn’t have a lot of time. It still worked well.

Zesty Pasta Salad

This pasta salad is so refreshing! It is perfect for summer!

A bowl of Zesty Italian Pasta Salad with chopped vegetables sits on a fringed table runner beside greenery. Text reads: "Zesty Italian Pasta Salad. www.homewithgraceandjoy.com.

The Top Amazon Links

I feel like I share these links all of the time. However, when people have asked me for them, I have had a hard time finding them in a post or newsletter.

A square image with text disclosing affiliate links—clicking may earn a small commission at no extra charge. Only favorite new finds for busy seasons of life or personally used products are ever recommended.
A collage features a floral Eiffel Tower mug on a warmer, a woman in an olive green loungewear set holding coffee, and a beige devotional book with a rose gold notebook on the table. Text: "Most Asked for Links." Cozy moments tied together like apron strings.

You can see my favorite items that are on sale, with a few others at my Amazon storefront. See the link below to check them out.

This is interesting – my Amazon storefront shows in real time the trending picks from all of you! The outfit is one of them, but I am surprised by the last one.

  1. Thank you for the video that included the 3rd verse, Susan, and for the pie recipe. There are a lot of people in my family who don’t like cake (I have no idea how that is even possible 😂), so I always appreciate easy alternatives for sweet treats. Continuing to pray for you and your family, CoCo
