Apron Strings & Blessings Weekly Newsletter Vol. 44

Happy Monday and thanks for joining me for this week’s, “Apron Strings & Blessings.” Let’s take a look at a few things faith, family, and home!

A banner featuring "Apron Strings & Blessings - Tying Faith, Family, and Home Together One Blessing at a Time" with a circular "Home with Grace and Joy" logo. Celebrate the strength of apron strings at www.homewithgraceandjoy.com.

The next few weeks may be a little abbreviated, as we will be on vacation, but I hope to be able to share new “beach” insights. The Lord always seems to speak during early morning walks along the beach!

I know we all need a vacation on occasion, but sometimes you need a vacation from just getting there. As I am experiencing that right now, I was reminded of the devotional Jay wrote a few year’s ago, Wednesday’s Enchilada Special. It is true and a little funny.

Whatever you are planning or not planning to do this summer, make it a good one. Always remember to:

Enjoy and have a great week!

Money Saving Tip We Just Learned About

This probably won’t apply to many people at this point, but you never know when you may need this.

Two black car key fobs with silver edges and buttons, attached to keyrings, rest on a brown and white checkered apron strings fabric. One fob has labeled buttons; the other has worn, blank buttons.

If you have ever priced new key fobs, you know that they are very expensive! Jay’s only worked part of the time, and when he lost the entire top portion of it, we decided it was time to do something.

We had no idea that you could buy a new key fob from Amazon and have it programmed for under $100.00 (depending on where you live)!

A black car key fob with several buttons—lock, unlock, trunk release, and remote start—is sealed inside a clear plastic bag and placed on brown and beige checkered fabric, reminiscent of classic kitchen apron strings.

Here is a link to the one we got for my Tahoe.

We found a local hardware store that programmed it for us. There are actually videos on YouTube explaining how to program them, but sometimes this can be tricky, so we decided to leave it to the experts.

Instead of $400, we spent about $105! HUGE savings!

Favorite Items of the Week

We ordered these for our beach vacation. I will let you know how they work when we get back. Most of you probably don’t know, but when I was little, I always thought I would grow up to be an archeologist! 🙂 Here is my chance!

Metal detector kit with digital display, arm rest, search coil, headphones, backpack, batteries, and small digging shovel—perfect for adventures free from apron strings—all thoughtfully arranged on a white background.

These are some of our favorite things to use in the pool AND at the beach! We just ordered 2 more.

Two inflatable pool loungers with mesh centers—one in red and white stripes, the other in navy blue and white—feature "Apron Strings" designs. Both include comfortable inflatable headrests and footrests for ultimate relaxation.

The Top Amazon Links

I feel like I share these links all of the time. However, when people have asked me for them, I have had a hard time finding them in a post or newsletter.

A square image with text disclosing affiliate links—clicking may earn a small commission at no extra charge. Only favorite new finds for busy seasons of life or personally used products are ever recommended.
A collage features a floral Eiffel Tower mug on a warmer, a woman in an olive green loungewear set holding coffee, and a beige devotional book with a rose gold notebook on the table. Text: "Most Asked for Links." Cozy moments tied together like apron strings.

You can see my favorite items that are on sale, with a few others at my Amazon storefront. See the link below to check them out.

This is interesting – my Amazon storefront shows in real time the trending picks from all of you! The outfit is one of them, but I am surprised by the last one.
