Apron Strings & Blessings Weekly Newsletter Vol. 46

Happy Monday and thanks for joining me for this week’s, “Apron Strings & Blessings.” Let’s take a look at a few things faith, family, home and relaxation!

A banner featuring "Apron Strings & Blessings - Tying Faith, Family, and Home Together One Blessing at a Time" with a circular "Home with Grace and Joy" logo. Celebrate the strength of apron strings at www.homewithgraceandjoy.com.

It is always so good to be back home, especially to be able to sleep in your own bed! Shower pressure is a plus too. 🙂

We had such a great vacation and time away with our kids and grandkids! A friend of mine put in her newsletter the other day that she was enjoying spending time with her grown kids. That is exactly what we did – great family time altogether with LOTS of laughter and fun!

We have now found our new favorite beach spot!

Rows of blue and a few yellow beach umbrellas line a sandy shore, their shadows stretching like apron strings beside calm, turquoise ocean water under a partly cloudy sky.

Like other times, the Lord spoke to me through His creation. I hope to be able to share a new beach devotional soon. I am always amazed.

As we loaded up to come back home, Evelyn looked out at the beach, and with full drama and hand motions said, “Good-bye Florida! We will see you again!”

Yes, we certainly will!

A Favorite Meal

If you are ever looking for an easy meal that is delicious, try this combination!

A white plate with a slice of cornbread, black-eyed peas, and creamy macaroni and chicken rests on a checkered tablecloth—classic comfort food inspired by cherished Apron Strings traditions.
  • Chicken Alfredo (I use the packaged version and add chicken.)
  • Black-Eyed Peas – Canned or from Dried Peas!
  • Fresh Cornbread – We used to have this with biscuits, but we like cornbread best.

There is something about this combination that works wonderfully together!

*Be sure to save some cornbread for dessert – cornbread with milk! YUM!

The Top Amazon Links

I feel like I share these links all of the time. However, when people have asked me for them, I have had a hard time finding them in a post or newsletter.

A square image with text disclosing affiliate links—clicking may earn a small commission at no extra charge. Only favorite new finds for busy seasons of life or personally used products are ever recommended.

  1. Welcome home, Susan. I’m glad you guys had such a great time. It feels like a summer rite of passage to be in Florida this time of year, so I’m excited you found a new beach spot and the littles are making plans to return. The Gulf side has the prettiest water! Can’t wait to dive into these links. Big hugs, CoCo
