I hope you had a great weekend! August is one of our family’s biggest birthday months (tied with February)! We had fun celebrating Kristy’s birthday this weekend. Next week we will celebrate Caddie.

August’s Scripture

As a new school year begins, I thought this verse was appropriate for everyone going back to school – all of the kids and educators. I will be praying for all of you this year!

Birthday Scripture Fun Activity

I saw something recently on some social media channel that took me down a rabbit hole!

It talked about your “birthday Scripture.” It is basically a book of the Bible with the chapter number of your birth month and the verse number of the date. For example:

My birthday is October 7th, so I looked at the different books of the Bible, chapter 10, verse 7 to see if I found one that was an appropriate life verse. I found:

Home & Family

Popcorn Movie Hack

I don’t know about you, but anytime we go to the movies, we share popcorn. It is much more economical that way!

Either we both eat out of the bag, or I will get extra napkins and put some in my lap or on the tray. Jay had a brilliant idea this weekend – carry a collapsible bowl in my purse.

We got this one for when we take the dogs with us to dog-friendly restaurants, but it had never been used. It was very handy and worked great!

This one is a little small, so I had to keep refilling it, but they come in larger sizes, which I will be ordering.

This Week’s Post – Dinty Moore Biscuit Bake

Did you ever have this growing up? I did not, but Jay did and loved it. I used to make it when the kids were young, and just recently brought it back out. It is delicious and is ready in under 30 minutes!

Christmas Corner

I’m not rushing it, but there are so many good things out there right now, that I wanted to share at least one each week!

  1. This week, I want to share an account I found on Instagram – The.Christmas.Nook – I cannot quit watching her reels! They are mostly just Christmas drinks and desserts, but there is something about them that I love!
  2. Be on the lookout at estate sales and thrift stores for Christmas decorations. I just got these two to add to my Christmas village.

  1. I’ve never heard of a birth verse before, but I love this idea so much, Susan. Mine was… 2 Corinthians 1:22: “He set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come”…and it couldn’t be more perfect for me. I’m totally going down the rabbit hole looking up the rest of my family’s birthdays now, too. Hugs, and can’t wait to dive into these links, CoCo
