In this week’s verses, we learn quite a bit about Saul of Tarsus (Paul) as well as Peter. Peter will learn a valuable lesson, and Paul will begin his missionary journeys. The spread of the Gospel will reach the Gentiles, and despite hardships and persecutions, the growth of the early church will explode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let’s look at some of the life\u00a0applications and lessons in this week’s Bible studies in the Book of Acts and apply them to our lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Life Applications and Lessons\u00a0– Acts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n- Acts 9: 20-36<\/strong> The major theme of this section is “Reputation.”\n
\n- You would have thought the people would have believed Paul’s change was real after seeing the 180 degree turn around he made.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- It is easy for us to believe Paul was for real, because we know the rest of the story. How many times have we been skeptical when someone in our lives made a big change though? When I think about it in this perspective, I can understand why they had their doubts about Paul. They were just ordinary people like us, but at this time, Paul had a reputation for killing Christians. They had good reason to be cautious.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Changing a reputation for the good takes time. In fact, it could seem like forever if it is your reputation that is changing. You may have to build trust and prove yourself. Be patient and keep doing the right thing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
