Fresh Jalapenos Stuffed with Cream Cheese Filling
An Appetizer from Another Joy
Today I am sharing my Aunt Joy’s fresh jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese filling. It is amazingly delicious – the perfect appetizer for anyone who loves jalapenos!
You all know about my mom, Joy, but there is another “Joy” who has been a big part of my life – my Aunt Joy (Blankenship), Granny Grace’s daughter. Just like my mom, this Joy brings a lot of joy to people! If you know her, you know that she has a servant’s heart and loves to give. Today I am sharing her Jalapeno Appetizer – It is one of my favorites!
At the last family reunion I attended, I happened to be sitting next to Aunt Joy when I took a bite of the most delicious stuffed jalapeno for the first time. The jalapeño was crisp and with the filling, it was so refreshing!
I told my aunt that I had to find out who made the jalapeno appetizers, which turned out to be pretty easy since it was her. Since that time, she has given me the recipe, and I made them last week. Delicious!!

Ingredients
Jalapeno Appetizer Instructions:
This is a very simple and easy recipe!
Instructions
- Cut the peppers in half, long ways, and remove the seeds and veins. Wear gloves to protect your hands, face, and eyes.
- In a medium bowl, mix the other ingredients together well.
- Fill the peppers with the cream cheese mixture and serve!
I cannot promise how mild or spicy they will be. These peppers were all bought at the same time and from the same bin at the grocery store. I ended up with some that had just a touch of heat, and others had too much heat for me to eat them. It is really just personal preference. If you happen to know the secret for picking out mild or spicy peppers, please share.

Other Tips and Ideas
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
- Always wear gloves when handling jalapeno peppers.
- Buy extra jalapeno peppers and slice some as well as dice a few. Freeze them, and they will be ready for recipes when you need them.
- Eat the cream cheese filling with crackers, potato chips, or tortilla chips, without the peppers. This makes a delicious dip, similar to my sister’s dip.
- Add diced jalapeno peppers to the cheese mixture to make a jalapeno cream cheese dip recipe.
- Add diced jalapeno peppers to any cheesy dip to give it a little kick.
- Add sliced jalapeno peppers to canned vegetables, pizzas, and soups for extra flavor.
