How to Make Lemon Shrimp Linguini in the Crock Pot
Who knew you could make Lemon Shrimp Linguini in the crockpot? For a delicious yet simple meal, see this great recipe!

I am really glad I experimented with this one. I have never had such tender shrimp!
Shrimp in the Crockpot?
Who knew you could cook shrimp in a crockpot? The other day as I was scrolling through social media, I saw part of an interesting shrimp dish. They were making Lemon Shrimp Linguini in the crockpot. I didn’t get to see the recipe, but I got to see the part of the reel that had shrimp in a crockpot.
Cooking shrimp in a crockpot was so interesting to me that I decided to experiment. I kind of combined what I knew about other shrimp recipes I have used in the past and came up with my own Lemon Shrimp Linguini recipe.
It seems like it would get done too quickly. When I decided to give it a try, Jay cautioned me about not letting it get tough. Just the opposite happened – I have never had such tender, fall apart, juicy shrimp! I highly recommend this Lemon Shrimp Linguini in the crockpot.
The Lemon!
I wasn’t sure how this was going to turn out, or if we would even like it. We typically don’t eat much lemon in our meals. As it turned out, we loved it, and the lemon was the best part!
I guess I should have watched the entire reel to see how the meal turned out, because when it was finished, I started removing the lemon. That would have been a huge mistake! Something made me take a bite of one of the lemon pieces as I removed it. It was so soft and delicious – you could eat the whole thing. I quickly added it back in and left it as part of the dish.

Supplies for Lemon Shrimp Linguini in the Crockpot
Besides the ingredients, a crockpot is literally the only thing you need for this dish. If you don’t have one, I am sure you could bake it like Stacy Ling’s Shrimp Scampi. If you are looking for a crockpot, this one is simple and inexpensive. Of course there are lots of other options.

Do you use crockpot liners? They really help keep you from having a mess. I usually use them when I am taking a crockpot meal to another place. If I am cooking at home, I usually save the liner and wash the crockpot myself.

I don’t know if you like crockpot meals as much as I do or not. I love the ease of them, and usually meat turns out so much more tender. That was definitely the case with this shrimp dish.

Thank you so much! That is so encouraging!!!
#1, I’m assuming it’s one pound of pasta, but unless I’m crazy, I don’t see where you mention how much? #2 I recently read in Smitten Kitchen about just soaking pasta in hot water for ten minutes, since it’ll be added to a casserole for further cooking — what do you think? I feel as if the pasta will continue cooking in the slow cooker, so that might be a good way to keep the pasta from overcooking?
I use one package of pasta. That is very interesting about soaking the pasta. I bet that would work well. I boil it, because I only add it in at the very last minute – right before serving it. Soaking it and then adding it to the crock pot to cook might be even easier. If you try it, please let me know.
