Life Applications from the Bible – Vol. 46

I am at a point in Exodus where I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to share many life applications, but the Lord is amazing! Even in the building of the tabernacle and all of the items of worship, He keeps pointing things out that we can apply to our lives. I hope you will continue reading with me as we are getting close to the end of Exodus.

Life Applications

  • Exodus 19:17 – Be a Moses! Bring people out to meet the Lord!
  • Exodus 23:4-5
    • Always do the right thing. “Do unto others…” regardless of who it is.
    • He knows our human feelings and emotions. Our feelings and emotions aren’t necessarily wrong, but the actions that follow them can sometimes be.
    • He calls us to live above our emotions.
    • You never know what even the smallest amount of kindness will do to a bad relationship.
    • “If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink, for you will heap burning coals on his head, and the Lord will reward you.” Proverbs 25:21-22 (Heaping coals can bring about repentance.)
  • Exodus 25:9 – 30:38
    • The Lord cared about every detail of the tabernacle, which was a moving temple.
    • When we invite the Lord into our lives, He lives within us, which makes us a living tabernacle.
    • Just like the physical tabernacle, He cares about every detail of our lives.
    • He gives us the pattern for our lives, and that is exactly how we should build them.

The rose colored Bible is the one I am using for my youngest granddaughter, and I really love it! The brown study Bible is the one Jay uses.

  1. Such a great way to celebrate Friday, Susan! I definitely need the reminder to “live above your emotions” especially as an introvert. Love how even the smallest act of kindness can make a difference too. We truly never know what people are going through and it’s always the right time to do the right thing. Thanks so much for this series, it’s my fave! Hugs, CoCo
