Life Applications from the Bible – Vol. 39

I am still continuing my reading in Matthew. Here are some of the life applications I found for the week:

Life Applications

  • Matt. 12:34 – If you ever wonder what is stored in your heart, listen to the words that come from your mouth. This sounds a little convicting to me.
  • Matt. 13:35 – Imagine all the things of the world that we have no understanding or knowledge about in today’s times. In a world with all the Science advancements and amazing things we have seen, we haven’t even touched the surface! God’s Wisdom and creation is beyond what we can imagine.
  • Matt. 15:11-12 – The Pharisees were offended at Jesus’ statement, but they should have listened and had a desire to change. During the times that we feel offended by someone, it could be a good time to reflect and do some soul searching. Not always, but sometimes feelings of offensiveness are really hiding our feelings of conviction. It is much easier to get mad at someone else than it is to look at our own faults.
  • Matt. 15:27 – A crumb from the Lord’s table is better then anything the world has to offer. “Lord, just give us a crumb!”

I pray these weekly life applications help you in some way. Please share any of the life lessons you have learned this week from the Bible. The lessons we learn can hopefully help others avoid the same traps.

  1. I can’t believe I missed this one because it’s speaking right to me! Someone recently called me out on something out of nothing but love and I was SO CLOSE to getting defensive but I stopped to think what might be behind the feelings and it changed everything! Not always easy but totally worth the effort. Love that you give us your best sweet friend. It makes my heart happy and lifts me up! Hugs, CoCo
