Life Applications and Lessons in I Corinthians Chapters 13-15

I am so thankful that the Lord shows up each week to share the life applications and lessons He wants us to live by. There are many life applications in I Corinthians chapters 13-15 alone.

An open Bible rests on pink fur, with I Corinthians beginning on the right and decorative text on the left. Gold candle holders and green leaves peek in from the top left corner.

Let’s take a look at some of these life lessons.

  • Without love, the most angelic voice is noise.
  • Even with the great attributes of prophecy, knowledge, and faith – without love to go along with them, they are nothing.
  • If you make a sacrifice, not out of love but in order to boast, that will be your only reward – human praise.
A Bible verse, I Corinthians 3:13, is displayed in a beige circle on a soft, neutral background with yarn and lace. The verse reads, "โ€ฆtheir work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light...

When we go through difficult situations, they may not make sense to us at all. It is okay to ask, “Why,” but we need to trust the Lord during these times. He will walk with us through them.

One day we will understand, and when we do, I believe we will be thankful for those difficult times.

I Corinthians 14:6-12

  • We need to use our gifts to build up the Church.
  • Our gifts should draw people to the Lord.
A photo of a white church with a green steeple stands in a field under a blue sky. Text above reads "Use Your Gifts," while a Bible verse from I Corinthians 14:12 encourages using spiritual gifts to help the Church.

We know that the Church is the people. Let’s use our Spiritual gifts to build each other up, and lead people to the Lord.

Please join us as we read God’s Word each week and share your insights on the scriptures. I would love to hear from you.

If you have joined me recently, these daily life application posts are examples of some of the comments I am writing in the Bibles I am giving to my grandchildren when they graduate from high school.ย Click here to see the post where I explain this eternal gift idea. I want to give them all the resources I can to use in today’s world!

A closed brown leather-bound book, perhaps containing I Corinthians, lies on a soft, pink fur surface. To its left is a small leafy green plant, and several brass candle holders are positioned above the book on the creamy white tablecloth background.

The rose colored Bible is the one I am using for my youngest granddaughter, and I really love it! It is the She Reads Truth Bible, CSB. I did some research before purchasing the CSB, and I found that it is translated from the original text and very accurate – very important!

Here are some of my other favorite Bible resources:

Let’s make a point of implementing these life applications and lessons this week.

  • Do everything in love.
  • Trust the Lord in the difficult situations.
  • Use our gifts to build up the Church and lead people to Him.

If you got other nuggets of truth this week, please share them. I love hearing how the Lord speaks!

Until next time,

  2. Love these posts so much, Susan! I’ve been thinking about “noise” a lot this week and how we contribute to it in ways we don’t even realize sometimes. I’m thankful for these posts because they’re filled with fabulous nuggets and gentle reminders to trust He is working on our behalf even when it’s hard to understand why things are happening the way they are! Big hugs, CoCo
